The Boston Bar Association (BBA) is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization with over 15,000 professional members and 140 institutional partners serving Boston through their mission to advance the highest standards of practice in the legal profession and facilitate access to justice, all while fostering a diverse and inclusive professional community. Matthew introduces the four pillars of the association and how they intend to create amore accessible platform for law practices and advocate for civilians through values of excellence, service, justice and diversity. Members of the BBA are provided tools and resources such as continuing education, professional development, network and mentoring opportunities, policy updates, job fairs, a quarterly journal, among others, to better serve the people in the various practices of law. Matthew's current focus on increasing engagement has led to events and programs with the intent to connect professionals in law to the community while advancing access to justice and representation. Our host Lucy Rivera welcomes you to discover ways in which justice and the law can become more accessible.
